The third annual gala dinner and fundraiser will honor Christopher Gardner (author of The Pursuit of Happyness), Jake Loftus (Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns), Antonio Manning (First VP and Regional Manager of Corporate and Employee Giving at Washington Mutual), and Virginia Victorin (VP and Senior Community Relations Manager at Washington Mutual), along with special celebrity guests and performances by Chaka Khan and friends.
Revlon Walk - May 5th, 2007
Chaka Khan joined the Entertainment Industry Foundation in New York City for the 2007 Revlon Run/Walk as part of the fight against women's cancers. As part of the day's activities, Ms. Khan inspired particiapants with a live performance and message of hope for new breakthroughs in the fight.
One Classic Night Gala - February 7th, 2007
Chaka Khan and the Chaka Khan Foundation joined forces for an unforgettable evening in Malibu, California at the Malibu Performing Arts Center. The evening featured a private cocktail reception and dinner spotlighting CKF's Education Initiative and raising funds for current programs. Invited sponsors and special guests enjoyed a special presentation by several of the kids currently enrolled in the Chaka Believes program. The evening culminated with a full concert performance by Chaka Khan and her band featuring her all-time greatest hits and was taped for an upcoming DVD release.
Chaka Khan Promotes Peace-December 16, 2006
The Chaka Khan Promotes Peace event will be a free three hour program aimed at at-risk middle school students to begin a discussion about how they can stay out of gangs and inspiring them to become educated, empowered and productive citizens.  Leading up to the event, the Chaka Khan Foundation will sponsor an essay-writing contest for middle school students.   They will be asked to submit a one-page essay on "How Violence Has Affected My Life."   The winner will receive a $1,000 college scholarship, the opportunity for the student and his/her parents to have dinner with Chaka Khan and the essay will be read at the event. >For complete contest rules and to attend the event, visit:

Cure Autism Now partnered again with the Chaka Khan Foundation for its Walk Now events in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. Chaka Khan was the official host for all three walks.


Los Angeles, November 27th, 2005

Featuring performances by Chaka Khan with Dorinda Clark-Cole and the Faithful Central Choir.   Proceeds benefited Chaka Khan Foundation and the International House of Blues Foundation.

CII Toy Drive - December, 2005

Performing artist Chaka Khan is a key supporter of a Children's Holiday Festival, hosted by Children's Institute International (CII). The festival is planned for over 2,500 children served by CII whose lives are impacted by poverty, community and domestic violence, abuse, neglect and other trauma. The event features arts and crafts, games, entertainment and of course, Santa Claus.   A special toy giveaway was made possible by The Chaka Khan Foundation.
